Model 04 · Compact cassette
Puma awning
The Puma is the awning most London patios end up with, and for good reason. A compact cassette with a hood over the rolled fabric gives you most of the protection of a full cassette at a noticeably lower price, in the sizes a typical terraced house garden actually needs.

Best suited to
Is this the right one?
- Standard balconies and terraces — 3m to 5m wide with a 2.5m to 3m projection covers the majority of London back gardens.
- Best value motorised — a remote controlled awning with a protected roller, without paying for the flagship spec.
- No power to the wall — the manual crank version needs nothing but a fixing.
- First awnings — the safe choice when you are not sure how much you will use it.
Worth knowing before you order
- The arms are exposed — the hood covers the fabric, not the folding arms. They are coated aluminium and live outside happily, but they are visible when retracted.
- Projection stops at 3.0m — for a deeper terrace, the Opal Design or Grey Tiger go further out.
- Manual means manual — a crank is fine on a 3m awning and tedious on a 5m one. Above about 4m we would suggest the motor.

Sized for a London garden
Most of our Puma installations sit above patio doors or a single set of French doors, covering a table and chairs with a metre or so to spare.
If your opening is wider than about 5.5m, the Grey Tiger is the one to look at instead.

Same fabrics, same finishes
Choosing the mid range model does not narrow the fabric book. Block colours, weaves and stripes are all available, with water resistant options throughout.
Frame colours match the rest of the range, so the hardware can disappear into the brickwork or stand against it.
Specification
What you get with the Puma
Protective hood
An aluminium hood over the rolled fabric keeps the worst of the weather and the dirt off the roller between uses.
Motor or crank
Choose a remote and wall switch, or a removable crank handle where power is awkward. The frame is the same either way.
The value pick
The model we point people at when the budget is the deciding factor but they still want a cassette rather than an open frame.
Intelligent wind sensor
Available across the range. The sensor reads the gusts and retracts the awning automatically, so it is never left out in weather it should not be in, whether you are home or not.
Powder coated aluminium
Frame, arms and housing are coated aluminium, specified to stand outside in London year round without rusting or needing repainting.
Fitted by our own team
We survey, fit, wire the motor and set the pitch, then test it with you before we leave. Most installations are completed in a day.
Compare
The Puma against the rest of the range
Figures are the maximum we would normally fit in a single unit. Wider or deeper installations are possible by coupling two awnings together, which we will talk through at survey.
